I played this game a LOT back in the day, regular SNES cart. I really enjoyed it though I gotta' say it's not nearly as good as M&M2 was. Also moving around and doing most anything in this game is reeeeeeally slow. Like the inputs are delayed or something. You get used to it, but it's definitely noticable.Del_Duiohttps://dxfgames.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4946916641850178817.post-92173349302545970482021-07-20T09:35:59.165-07:002021-07-20T09:35:59.165-07:00A brutal bug. I finally started a fresh playthrough via emulator, and will rely 100% on save states now.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4946916641850178817.post-19165466653895165052018-06-19T11:40:21.537-07:002018-06-19T11:40:21.537-07:00I can see that helping get through the game, but f...I can see that helping get through the game, but for me, most of the experience of playing through these games are for the incremental gains and challenge of getting through it with the limited resources I have. Did you allow yourself hirelings? Currently, I can see the lack of water walk as an issue. There's no fly spell though, at least not on the SNES. Not sure if it's in the PC version, but it was in the first two games.

With all the warps though, you could probably manage without water walk if you knew where they all were. It's a bit sad this is the last Might and Magic on console.Zenic Reveriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16441583549326102945noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4946916641850178817.post-58009670588414310352017-07-23T13:22:32.857-07:002017-07-23T13:22:32.857-07:00I figure the chances of a battery stopping in the ...I figure the chances of a battery stopping in the middle of me playing is lower if the battery is working when I first start the game up. I could be wrong, but so far only Dragon Warrior II had issues with battery. I switched to emulation at that point instead of purchasing a new cart. I got a new cart for this game because it was relatively inexpensive.

Having the instruction manual is very helpful for many of the games since they assumed you'd have it. Also, these games don't really drop in value, so recouping that money when you're done with the game isn't too bad.

I don't plan on ever using speed up or cheats, so that really isn't a problem for me. Of course, I haven't had to deal with the same issues I've seen on your blog.Zenic Reveriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16441583549326102945noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4946916641850178817.post-91437194814351309472017-07-22T08:10:14.189-07:002017-07-22T08:10:14.189-07:00I loved this game on PC. I was never able to do it because I always lacked access to vital spells like Walk on Water or Fly. Two characters would be doable, I think. In some ways I think this is better than the Xeen games because it's not quite as sprawling and chaotic.Kurisuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00132568197501054206noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4946916641850178817.post-26655673448317643352017-07-22T08:09:17.849-07:002017-07-22T08:09:17.849-07:00My biggest fear of playing on actual consoles is s...My biggest fear of playing on actual consoles is save deletion. I don't trust 25 year old carts, although I guess you can replace the batteries. My second issue with playing on the console is not being able to speed up or cheat at awful games.

However, I'm strongly considering buying used copies of the games for my blog so that I can see the instruction manuals to know what information I'm supposed to have access to. It seems like a decent number of the SFC RPGs are available with box and manual on ebay for <$20. I haven't played it, but the trailers make it seem more like Terraria, so I haven't been interested in picking it up.

I just looked up a list, and didn't realize how many SNES games supported it. I'm not really a collector though, so as I go through each year I sell off the games I'm done with and buy up the next few along the line.

King Arthur's World is one of my favorite SNES games. I disagree on the mouse support; I always found controller easier to handle the game. Still, it was nice to see support for the often overlooked peripheral. Aside for this game, I can't think of another on console that worked better with a mouse over controller. I'm surprised you're shelling out cash for this, I assumed the games were being played via emulation.

I loved the SNES Mouse as a kid. I had Mario Paint to use it with (of course), but also King Arthur's World, a fun action/strategy game with excellent mouse support and oddly, Dolby Surround sound of some sort.Raifieldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08478524519453417677noreply@blogger.com
