If it's the latter, You face them, eliciting the message "another party" to appear, You HOLD THE DIRECTIONAL BUTTON FACING THEM and THEN PRESS "B". You will enter a screen to speak with the merchant and his guards.Lazzzarushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00262740559993166092noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4946916641850178817.post-31755194030621764622017-07-25T21:53:35.685-07:002017-07-25T21:53:35.685-07:00No worries. I'll trust that what you say about the stones is true, but it doesn't help make it any less random for such a necessary item.Zenic Reveriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16441583549326102945noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4946916641850178817.post-19397295437330290182017-07-25T16:13:47.754-07:002017-07-25T16:13:47.754-07:00Dammit, I've just posted a comment on the prev...Dammit, I've just posted a comment on the previous post explaining the wandering merchant stuff, not knowing you had figured it out on the next session, sorry about that... On a side note, I've completed the game two times (once some years ago, once earlier today) and I assure you that getting the stones from wandering merchants it's fairly easy if you play the game knowing that you need to keep an eye out for neutral parties.Lukenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4946916641850178817.post-48062194701235012892014-06-30T08:46:58.994-07:002014-06-30T08:46:58.994-07:00That's the one the zombie/necromancers kept us...That's the one the zombie/necromancers kept using on me.Zenic Reveriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16441583549326102945noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4946916641850178817.post-54554983547745256272014-06-30T08:27:42.530-07:002014-06-30T08:27:42.530-07:00My favorite part of this game is that there's ...My favorite part of this game is that there's a spell that summons Slash to murder you.Jonothanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06305455959377150878noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4946916641850178817.post-27571520863355085162014-06-29T20:58:41.489-07:002014-06-29T20:58:41.489-07:00I've always had a soft spot for strategy games...I've always had a soft spot for strategy games, even though I'm normally not very good at them. The sequels have a few more RPG elements, but the games share more with Advance Wars or Military Madness than with a game like Rings of Power. That said, the Langrisser games are criminally underrated for fans of the subgenre.killias2https://www.blogger.com/profile/00398131197947456691noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4946916641850178817.post-77810091184666026002014-06-29T11:21:41.948-07:002014-06-29T11:21:41.948-07:00Thanks.

I know of at least one early D&D module that had players assembling a seven part staff.

On second thought, maybe Solstice (NES) is just a rip off of Rings of Power. ;)Zenic Reveriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16441583549326102945noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4946916641850178817.post-76851411011508122032014-06-29T03:52:36.174-07:002014-06-29T03:52:36.174-07:00Congratulations!

Certainly the collecting of parts of a staff thing occurs in The Elder Scrolls: Arena also.Andy_Panthrohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18231815646876343380noreply@blogger.com
